Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A - (“Company” or “Eletrobras”) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, on this date, the Company received funds in the amount of R$ 936,180,000.00 (Nine hundred and thirty-six million, one hundred and eighty thousand reais), as Advance for Future Capital Increase ("AFAC"), made by the controlling shareholder, the Federal Government.
The purpose of these funds is to enable the execution of the Business and Management Master Plan for the period from 2017 to 2021 ("PDNG 2017-2021"), disclosed to the market on November 17, 2016.
The Company will keep the market informed about the future conversion of the current AFAC into a capital increase, as well as the AFACs in the amount of R$ 970,000,000.00 (nine hundred and seventy million reais) and R$ 1 billion (one billion reais), realized on September and April, 2016, respectively, should be observed at this time all formalities established in the applicable legislation, in particular Law 6,404/76.
