Annual Report and Accounts 2018

The Company's Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2018 ("2018 Annual Report") have been published on the Company's website at https://investors.avast.com/. The 2018 Annual Report and the notice of annual general meeting, to be held on Thursday 23 May 2019 at 10.00 a.m. at White & Case LLP, 5 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1DW, will be posted to shareholders on 17 April 2019 along with a form of proxy relating to the annual general meeting.

In accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.1.R of the UK Financial Conduct Authority, the 2018 Annual Report has been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will be available for inspection shortly at http://www.morningstar.co.uk/uk/NSM. 

The information contained in the Appendix to this announcement, which is extracted from the 2018 Annual Report, is included solely for the purposes of complying with DTR 6.3.5R. The information should be read in conjunction with the Company's unaudited Full Year Results for the year ended 31 December 2018, released on 13 March 2019 (the "Full Year Results Announcement"). This announcement and the Full Year Results Announcement together constitute the material required by DTR 6.3.5R to be communicated to the media in unedited full text. Responsibility statement of the Directors in respect of the Annual Financial report (Page 97 2018 Annual Report)

The directors confirm, to the best of their knowledge, that:

·      the Group financial statements, prepared in accordance with IFRS as adopted by the European Union and in accordance with applicable law, give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit of the Company and the undertakings included in the consolidation taken as a whole; and

·      the Strategic Report and Directors' Report includes a fair review of the development and performance of the business and the position of the company and the undertakings included in the consolidation taken as a whole, together with a description of the principal risks and uncertainties that they face.

The annual report and the financial statements, taken as a whole is fair, balanced and understandable and provides the information necessary for shareholders to assess the Group's position and performance, business model and strategy.
