Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S/A ("Company" or "Eletrobras") hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that, at a Board of Directors meeting held on this date, Mr. Mauro Gentile Rodrigues Cunha was appointed as member of the Board of Directors to replace Mrs. Elena Landau, who resigned on July 28, 2017.

 

In view of the provisions of Article 39 of Eletrobras' Bylaws, Mr. Mauro Gentile Rodrigues Cunha, whose possession occurred on this date, will occupy the vacancy until the 58th Annual Shareholders’ Meeting.

 

We hereby inform that, pursuant to Law No. 13,303/16 ("State Law"), regulated by Decree 8,945/16, the appointment was previously approved by the Management, People and Eligibility Committee, responsible for verifying compliance with the eligibility requirements listed in article 17 of the State Law and articles from 28 to 30 of Decree 8,945/16.
